Devlog Update – Improvements & New Features!

Hey everyone! Got some exciting updates for you. 🚀

🔹 Play on Browser Again!

The game is back and fully playable in the browser! Some major backend changes were needed to accommodate the 2,000+ mate-in-one puzzles, but now everything runs smoothly again.

⚔️ Combat & Gameplay Improvements

• Instant Round End: If your damage is enough to kill the enemy, the round ends immediately. No more waiting!
• No More Post-Mortem Actions: Enemies can no longer perform an action (like healing) if they die from your move.
• Illegal Moves Blocked: Clicking an invalid square no longer registers as a move. No more accidental misclicks!
• Pawn Movement Fixed: The game now properly prevents pawns from moving diagonally unless capturing and stops double-step moves when blocked.
• Board Reset on Streak of Mistakes: If you make 3 wrong moves in a row, the board will reset. This prevents players from getting stuck in unsolvable positions, improving the experience.

🃏 New Cards & More Battles!

• New cards are now available! Check them out and experiment with new strategies.
• You can now progress through a sequence of fights until the end.
• Still a work in progress: The relic shop and card rewards are placeholders for now. Expect more updates soon!
